What was the original ethos behind Be-Bop Deluxe?
When we started it was just a bit of fun; we didn’t have a plan to make records or turn professional. It was obviously very influenced by the early days of glam – dressing up more or less to freak people out in the local working men’s clubs we were playing in – but it took off.
