Baskets in Bloom
If, like Nicola, you love to bring flowers into the house, whether it’s a bowl of garden roses, pots of bulbs or a flower-filled quilt, then you will love this quilt!
The featured block combines two traditional favourites, the Flower Basket and the Nosegay, but it is pieced in an innovative way that avoids the inset seams and on-point setting of the originals. Nicola chose the fabric range Flower Mill by Corey Yoder for Moda as it included printed wovens, suggesting a basket weave, and brightly coloured prints on a rich charcoal grey.
This project is one of 13 from well-known UK quilters that can be found in the book Love Jelly Roll Quilts: A Baker’s Dozen of Tasty Projects for All Skill Levels.
