You can still call in the help of a midwife with a caesarean birth. Midwives provide emotional support and talk you and your birth partner through the operation and birth. Sometimes the whole process happens so fast, and it’s so overwhelming, that dads forget to take pics or provide proper support – it’s at this point that midwives take control and remind you how special these first moments really are.
