Eyeing me up suspiciously, my mum Charmaine, 51, raised an eyebrow. ‘You’re barely even showing! Are you sure you’re pregnant?’ she asked.
It was my first trip to see my parents after my hubby Matthew, 34, and I announced that we were expecting our first child.
My mum had lots of questions!
‘And explain to me why you’re doing it all naturally? Don’t you want to know the sex?’ she queried, on the edge of her seat.
‘Of course, if there’s any problems, we’ll get scans, but I’m just going to listen to my body for now,’ I replied, very much aware I sounded like a right hippy.
It was a relief to get back
