The woman’s body was found by a local teenager, in a bed of brambles in a quiet, overgrown part of Sydney’s Queens Park.
A small, slight woman named Iris Marriott had been bludgeoned to death by her attacker.
Five months earlier, in July 1932, another young woman had been brutally killed in a similar manner in Sydney’s Centennial Park.
