Lettuce dream

My favourite ’80s childhood salad was Mum’s simple bowl of iceberg lettuce with lemon, salt and pepper – always crunchy, tangy and delicious. My sisters would leave the table to watch Sale of the Century while I sat and emptied the salad bowl.
