SERVES 6-8

½ cup pitted dates
½ cup roasted walnuts, finely chopped
2 tbsp roasted garlic oil
1 tbsp roasted garlic, crushed
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Toasted pita or focaccia, to serve
