Four Wheeler

SPONSOR 4x4s OF THE 2019 FOUR WHEELER OVERLAND ADVENTURE

THEY MANUFACTURE OR ARE DISTRIBUTORS OF ALL THE COOLEST OFF-ROAD and adventure gear to equip your vehicle for overlanding and off-roading. But what do they drive? That was our burning question when we invited the sponsors of the 2019 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure on our inaugural event in Arizona. So, in between wheeling and camping, we poked around underneath, inside, and outside to see not only which kinds of vehicles they drove, but also what parts and accessories their rigs sport. Here’s what we found. And a big thank you to all of them for sponsoring our first-ever Overland Adventure event and also for letting us share their vehicle secrets with our readers!

BDS SUSPENSION

Vehicle: ’19 Ford Ranger

Driver: Miles Henderson

Website: bds-suspension.com

About: The 2019 Four Wheeler Overland Adventure Official Suspension Sponsor was BDS Suspension. The company offers everything suspension, from lift kits and shocks/coilovers to leaf springs and steering stabilizers, plus much more. You can bet the company’s Project Ranger X has suspension with panache. Read more about it in our May 2019 issue (where it also graced the cover), but the overview is: To mount a Knapheide Service Box, the wheelbase had to be stretched 10 inches and a BDS 6-inch suspension system had to be customized, including the addition of Fox 2.5 DSC piggyback shocks, a modified BDS GM 1500 leaf-spring kit, and Air Lift airbags.

Other goodies include a custom rear bumper; pods, lights, and lightbar
