All exercise is going to help you build muscle in one way or another, although some methods get better results. And the science suggests a compelling reason why more gym-goers are preferring to join group classes rather than lifting alone: people who exercise in a group reported a 25% increase in their sense of physical wellbeing and a 26% increase in mental wellbeing, according to a study in the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association.
