How I gave up…
When New Year comes around, it's easy to get carried away with a list of things we want to give up. ‘If you set yourself too many big goals, chances are that, by day 10, you’ll have failed your resolutions,’ says nutritionist Dr Marilyn Glenville. ‘By picking one or two smaller goals and focusing on what you’ll gain rather than what you’re giving up, you’re more likely to be successful. For example, if you want to give up alcohol or sugar, don’t think of it in terms of what you’re losing. Focus instead on how much healthier and better you’ll feel and look.’
