WORLD BARISTA CHAMPION

When Jooyeon Jeon of Momos Coffee in South Korea was named the second female barista in a row to win the World Barista Championship (WBC), her predecessor Agnieszka Rojewska of Poland was on hand to award her the trophy.

Jooyeon was overcome with shock and emotion upon the final announcement at the Specialty Coffee Association Expo in Boston, United States on 14 April.

“I’m so happy right now,” Jooyeon tells BeanScene moments after the winning announcement.
