    • Fat quarter spot print fabric (framing)

    • Scraps of assorted print fabrics in muted colours (appliqué)

    • Appliqué needle

    • DMC Stranded Embroidery Cotton in Dark Blue Green (501), Dark Beaver Grey (646), Dark Old Gold (680), Very Dark Brown Grey (3021), Desert Sand (3064) and Light Terracotta (3778)

    • Cotton threads to match the appliqué fabrics

    • Lightweight fusible interfacing (optional)

    • 30cm (12in) square of lightweight batting (framing)

    • Timber frame with 29cm (11 1/2in) square opening
